All youth and families of shalom, 30 hour famine. June 1-2 The 30 hour famine is all about loving the hungry and raising money to fight hunger. The event is a 30 hour journey, all happening at church, that involves going hungry for 30 hours to experience and learn more about hunger happening around the world. World Vision does an awesome job helping us to put this event on and the youth group over the past 6 years has raised over 5,000 which feeds children around the world for 5,000 days. The your regroup is invited to participate by: 1. Fundraising in person or online 2. Fasting from food for 30 hours, as long as they are physically able. Please do not stop your child from coming to this event, snacks can be provided if that is your fear. 3. Learning about hunger through games, videos, role play game called TRIBE, cardboard hotel, and service projects. Check em out online to learn more...
